Federal Gippsland MP Darren Chester has been taking time out of his busy ministerial schedule in Canberra to train for the 18th annual 2016 DFB Recruitment Latrobe Community Fun Run.

The newly-appointed Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, and Traralgon Harriers patron, has again volunteered for the ‘Darren Chester Challenge’ – where the MP will donate $2 for every person who beats him across the finish line in the 5km run.

The donation will be made to Gippsland Rotary Centenary House, which provides safe, supportive and affordable accommodation to patients and families of the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre at Latrobe Regional Hospital.

The run is on this Sunday, March 6 at 9am, Kay Street and Franklin Street (Starting Line), Kay Street, Traralgon.

Entry prices and details can be found online at www.traralgonharriers.org.au
